| Parmarth Niketan is an ashram located in Rishikesh, India. Rishikesh - known as the "City of the Divine" - is a spiritual center to which sages, rishis, saints and pilgrims have flocked for millennia. | In India today there are thousands and thousands of impoverished children. See how we are bringing them into the divine Gurukul. | Parmarth Niketan hosts daily yoga and meditation classes. | Each evening ashram residents and visitors join together for the divine Ganga Aarti ceremony - an hour of prayer, song, meditation and divine connection. It is our "happy hour". |

All donations to any service of this ashram are greatly appreciated. It is only through the generosity of our guests/pilgrims/visitors that we can continue to feed the hungry, heal the sick, house the homeless and uplift the downtrodden. |
| Parmarth Niketan is dedicated to bringing health to the sick, education to the illiterate, food to the hungry, shelter to the homeless and hope to the downtrodden. | Parmarth Niketan is dedicated to cultivating and awareness of environmental sanctity as well as with the mission of restoring Mother Earth's natural balance. | The sanskaras are the "rites of passage" that a person passes through in life - from conception to death. Various sanskara ceremonies are performed at Parmarth Niketan |

Did You Know? Ishwara paridhana - devotion or surrender to God |
|
Kaayena vaachaa manasendriyairvaa It means, "Oh Lord, whatever I have done, whatever actions I have performed - whether through speech, through thought, through my senses, through my mind, through my hands or through just the nature of my existence - I lay it all at Your Holy Feet. Every aspect of my life and existence are completely surrendered to you." |
